About the Building:

This unique wedding and event venue is housed in a century-old building that was once one of the hundreds of factories that dotted the West Loop. Today, the building features warm, exposed brick, original oak timber beams, and a stunning 65-foot long skylight that is unique in the city of Chicago. This gorgeous skylight offers an ever-changing atmosphere for any event. During the day, natural light fills the space and creates a beautiful church-like setting for wedding ceremonies. At night, the skylight creates a lounge-like atmosphere that is ideal for any reception or corporate event. Loft on Lake is ideal for creative clients, urbanites, and couples looking for a lot of customization in this highly adaptable space.

Fun Fact: Stephen, one of the owners, designed the doors so that a car can be driven into the main room for a unique twist for events.

About the Fabric:

The open, unobstructed layout in the main room allows for a large number of options. For ceremonies, we often create a 40-foot wall of fabric utilizing our luxury fabrics that create an elegant look that matches the modern urban atmosphere of the space. To complete the look, we create lighting ambiances that match our clients’ design, setting the mood and energy, be it soft and romantic or bright and energetic. We also create many social and corporate events within this unique space by helping to produce the entire design and flow from tables, chairs, linens, lounge areas, to themed concepts.
